Chefs Luciana Giangrandi and Alex Meyer bring Italian flavor with a Brooklyn vibe to the edge of Buena Vista and Little Haiti at Boia De: Alex Marrero’s new favorite Italian restaurant in Miami!

Alex Marrero Miami Restaurant Review

This week, Miami cuisine and culture enthusiast Alex Marrero had a taste of Italy at Boia De. With an entrance that’s typical of the Magic City, Boia De doesn’t scream Italian. But it does shout — with a bright pink neon exclamation large neon exclamation point sign. Tucked in between Sunrise Medical Center and Bravo Supermarket in an everyday strip mall on NE 2nd Ave in Miami, FL, timeless elegance is hardly what you might expect. But trust Marrero’s taste buds on this one: expect the unexpected because these flavors are phenomenal!

At night, Boia De takes center stage at the Bravo Supermarkets strip mall. The glow of the neon exclamation mark sign points to invite a crowd. Settled in with seating options both inside and out, the unique location felt cozier than crowded to Miami restaurant reviewer, Alex Marrero. Outdoor seating is available in the lot, which is a surprisingly relaxing arrangement — especially on a comfortable night in Miami. Deliciously Italian-American with a humble, hipster chic, Boia De is modern, if not neat. With unique dishes like white truffle tagliatelle and sunchoke caramelle, you certainly won’t find your nonna’s chicken parm on this menu. Leave your traditional mediterranean taste buds at home and expect avant garde cuisine at Boia De!
