46th Annual Art Deco Weekend

The 46th Annual Art Deco Weekend takes place every year in mid January. For Alex Marrero, Miami photographer, this event is one that marks the beginning of the year for artists and art deco enthusiasts. A three-day event, the 46th installment of this iconic event features artwork produced by local creatives, as well as a host of exciting dance, design and decor to be enjoyed! 16th World Congress on Art Deco

The 16th World Congress on Art Deco will return to Miami for the first time since its debut in the Magic City back in 1990. April 18–30, 2023, the Miami Design Preservation, International Coalition of Art Deco Societies and Art Deco Society will come together to celebrate art deco on a grand and global scale. The theme this year is Modernism in Miami, with a focus on the majestic architecture within the Magic City. There will be plenty of exhibits, art workshops, photography showcases, live concerts, costume balls and more to be enjoyed! Alex Marrero looks forward to snapping photos at this event.
